Are "Just met" connections only useful to connect to seeds?

BrightID initially designed with only a single type of connection between two users that already know each other.
We started connection parties a few months ago with new group connection feature of client and this ended up with tons of connections between users that do not know each other. We decided to add confidence level to connections to enable users making difference between connections they created in connection parties and connections they make with their friends and families.

It seems to be a disruptive question, but are those Just met connections only useful to connect to seeds? Are not we making the system complicated and risky for 99% of users by introducing multiple level of connections?

Does not it lower the risk of phishing already know connections in connection parties if we use a 1-n group connection, connecting all members with the call manager instead of connecting all the members together and asking all of the members to choose between already know, just met and suspicious?

That’s fine, but there are also situations where a group connection is convenient.

There could be a third type of connection called a “new member” connection that is only available to seed group members where everyone scans a code, but they only connect to the seed group member.

I’m not concerned about people fishing for already know connections for reasons I explained in this post.
